Ryukyu Jimami Tofu with sauce 4pcs. 1.1 lb

Jiimami Tofu, a traditional Okinawan dish, is a healthy tofu made from peanuts, offering a mild sweetness that can be enjoyed by everyone, from children to the elderly. With a texture similar to pudding, it is a versatile delicacy that works both as a dessert and a side dish.

This tofu is made using non-GMO peanuts and Okinawa’s sea salt, "Nuchimaasu," ensuring safety and quality. The traditional kneading process has been replaced with a mixer, resulting in a more uniform texture and an improved finish.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Hadomu Food Service continues to uphold traditional methods, producing and selling Okinawa’s iconic foods such as Shimadofu (Okinawan tofu) and Jiimami Tofu. Enjoy the rich, creamy flavor of our signature Jiimami Tofu.

Note: "Jiimami" (地豆) refers to peanuts. Those with peanut allergies should refrain from consuming this product.
It also makes an excellent Okinawan souvenir.

What is Jiimami Tofu?
Jiimami Tofu is a traditional Okinawan dish made from peanuts. The term "Jiimami" (地豆) means peanuts in the Ryukyuan language and is also pronounced as "Diimami" in some regions. Although it is called "tofu," it is not made from soybeans but rather from peanut milk combined with sweet potato starch. It can be compared to sesame tofu, where sesame is replaced with peanuts and kudzu starch is replaced with sweet potato starch. Like sesame tofu, Jiimami Tofu has a soft, chewy texture.
