Nebula Zen Handcrafted Purple Tasting Cup 40 ml 1 count

This cup is a classic collaboration between Xiao Shi Jie Tea and Runcuitang, representing the pinnacle of contemporary handcrafted teaware. Each cup is individually shaped by skilled artisans and fired in the kiln, where fire and glaze converge to create a deep, luminous Nebula Purple glaze—quiet yet vibrant, with layered depth and a star-cloud–like radiance.

The base of each cup is hand-inscribed by the artisan with the three characters “Runcuitang.” The calligraphy varies naturally from piece to piece, ensuring that every cup is truly one of a kind. More than a vessel for tea, it is an object to be held, contemplated, and appreciated—an artwork meant for the palm.

Just as different wines call for different glasses, different teas deserve vessels that enhance their character. The Nebula Zen tasting cup features an elongated, elegant silhouette with exceptional aroma-concentrating properties. It is especially well suited for high-aroma teas such as oolong, young raw pu-erh, and Qimen An Tea, allowing the fragrance to unfold fully and revealing the tea’s aromatic progression and layered nuances.

This cup is currently available in two sizes:

Small cup: rim diameter 5 cm | height 5 cm | approx. 40 ml

Large cup: rim diameter 6 cm | height 5.5 cm | approx. 60 ml

Both sizes come with an elegant gift box and a certificate of authenticity, making them ideal as refined gifts as well as valuable long-term collectibles.

Runcuitang traces its heritage back to the Hong Family Kiln of the late Kangxi period in the Qing Dynasty. Renowned for its exceptional colored-glaze craftsmanship, the Hong kiln was repeatedly commissioned to produce wares for the imperial kilns and the royal court. Today, this precious kiln-fire legacy continues in every Runcuitang creation, seamlessly blending ancient techniques with contemporary aesthetics to express a timeless vision of Eastern beauty.
