Q&A

What is matcha genmaicha?

Matcha genmaicha is a Japanese green tea blend made with green tea, roasted rice, and matcha powder. It has the toasted aroma of genmaicha with the smooth green color and flavor of matcha.

How is this different from regular genmaicha?

Regular genmaicha is usually made with green tea and roasted rice. This version also includes matcha powder, which gives the tea a richer green color, smoother texture, and slightly fuller taste.

Does this tea taste strongly like matcha?

It has a light matcha flavor, but it is not as intense as drinking pure matcha. The roasted rice and green tea balance the matcha, making it smooth and easy to drink.

When is the best time to drink it?

It is great in the morning, after meals, or as an afternoon tea. The roasted rice aroma also makes it a comforting everyday tea.
