Tsumura's Kampo Medicine

"Shosaikoto" is a Kampo medicine mentioned in the original Kampo texts "Shanghan Lun" and "Jingui Yaolue." It is used for the "late-stage" stage of a cold, when symptoms have worsened a few days after catching a cold, including fever, chills, a general feeling of heaviness from the flank to the pit of the stomach, loss of appetite, and nausea. It is also used for gastritis, gastrointestinal weakness, and fatigue.
"Tsumura Kampo Shosaikoto Extract Granules" are easy-to-take granules made from an extract of "Shosaikoto."

Consultations

In rare cases, the following serious symptoms may occur.

Indications/Effects
For the following symptoms in people with moderate physical strength who occasionally experience discomfort from the flank (abdomen) to the solar plexus, loss of appetite, a bitter taste in the mouth, and a white coating on the tongue: loss of appetite, nausea, gastritis, stomach pain, gastrointestinal weakness, fatigue, and late-stage cold symptoms.

Dosage/Administration
Take the following amount with water or hot water before meals.

Age: Adults (15 years and older)
Single Dose: 1 packet (1.875g)
Dose: 2 times per day

Age: 7 years and older, under 15 years
Single Dose: 2/3 packet
Dose: 2 times per day

Age: 4 years and older, under 7 years
Single Dose: 1/2 packet
Dose: 2 times per day

Age: 2 years and older, under 4 years
Single Dose: 1/3 packet
Dose: 2 times per day

Age: Do not take if under 2 years old
