Brewing Instructions

Traditional Gyokuro Preparation — Luna Matcha Recommendation

• Tea: 5g
• Water: 2 fl oz (60ml)
• Water temperature: 122–140°F (50–60°C)
• Steeping time: 90–120 seconds

1. Bring fresh water to a boil.
2. Allow the water to cool to 122–140°F（50–60°C）.
3. Place 5g of tea leaves in a small teapot.
4. Add approximately 2 fl oz（60ml）of cooled water.
5. Steep for 90–120 seconds.
6. Pour slowly and evenly, continuing until the teapot is completely empty.

Gyokuro is traditionally prepared with a smaller amount of water than sencha to highlight its concentrated umami. Adjust the amount of tea, water, or steeping time according to your preference.

Luna Matcha tip: Filtered or soft water works especially well for Japanese green tea.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture, direct sunlight, and strong odors.

Keep the inner package tightly sealed and return it to the canister after each use.
