【Mt. Fuji Calendar Natsume Tins】 An auspicious design featuring Mt. Fuji, the sacred mountain and ultimate symbol of good fortune in Japan, beautifully depicted across changing seasons and calendars. The traditional "Natsume" (date-palm shaped) tea caddy silhouette offers a timeless, elegant, and sophisticated look, making it a highly appreciated gift for formal occasions and celebrations.

 Features of Arahataen's Deep-Steamed Tea (Fukamushi-cha)

Deep-Steaming Method to Bring Out the Best: Our tea is "Fukamushi-cha," crafted using a deep-steaming method that steams the tea leaves three to four times longer than regular sencha.

Makinohara Plateau Tea: The Makinohara Plateau enjoys long hours of sunlight, growing thick, nutrient-rich tea leaves. Steaming these leaves longer reduces tannin (bitterness/astringency) and increases the amino acid theanine (sweetness), creating a mellow, well-rounded flavor. Although the leaves become finer, it features a beautiful deep green color, rich sweetness, and profound depth.

Commitment to the Soil: Believing that "delicious tea comes only from thick, deep-green leaves plucked from powerful tea bushes," we focus deeply on our cultivation starting from the soil itself.

Natural Return Farming (Chaff Compost): Every autumn, we create compost by fermenting rice chaff, rice bran, and rapeseed meal with beneficial soil microbes. Spreading this nutrient-rich compost evenly across our vast fields enriches the soil and naturally boosts its vitality.

Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) - Shizuoka's Chasuba Farming Method:"Chasuba" refers to semi-natural grasslands where grasses like bamboo grass and pampas grass are harvested to be used as organic matter in tea gardens. Spreading these harvested grasses in the tea fields produces higher-quality tea. This sustainable practice harmonizes with nature and promotes biodiversity. (Note: Shizuoka's Chasuba Farming Method was designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System by the FAO on May 30, 2013.)
