Our Certified Organic Tea Farms

Our farms is a certified organic tea farm and factory located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, where 40 percent of Japan's raw tea leaves are produced and processed. Shizuoka, which means "quiet hill" in Japanese, has an ideal climate for cultivating green tea plants, and the fresh melted water from Mount Fuji contributes to the growth of great-tasting tea leaves.

First Harvest Only

In Japan, green tea is typically harvested three times a year. At Tea Farm, we use only the leaves harvested during the first harvest, which usually takes place in early May. We select the youngest, most tender leaves from this harvest, which are known for their color, taste, fragrance, and nutritional elements. When making pure tea with just water, the difference in quality is noticeable. Our entire tea farm and tea manufacturing facility have received JAS and USDA organic certification, a rarity given that only 3% of tea grown in Japan is certified organic. Our 100% pure, organic Matcha is made from the highest quality shade-cultivated green tea leaves, which provide a silky-smooth texture and outstanding flavor. The leaves are de-veined, de-stemmed, and finely ground into a powder, making it perfect for a wide range of drinks and dessert recipes, including matcha lattes, cappuccinos, frappés, ice cream, chocolate, fresh or raw desserts, baked sweets, bread, and pastries.
