Brand History

Founded in 1684 during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty as "Yongxiangzhai" Sauce Garden, Tuodong Soy Sauce inherits the millennium-old brewing heritage of Tuodong City from the Nanzhao Kingdom. It won the Gold Medal at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and was awarded the title of one of China's first batch of "China Time-Honored Brands" in 2006.

Brewing Process

Adopting the dual craftsmanship of plateau sunlight curing and clay vat slow brewing, it selects high-quality plateau non-genetically modified soybeans and Winter Solstice hard wheat. After continuous FM cooking and instant stir-frying at over 300°C for flavor enhancement, it uses a contactless disc koji-making system for 180 days of constant-temperature slow fermentation in a fully enclosed fermentation system. Finally, the first-run original sauce is extracted through natural leaching.

Taste and Flavor

It has a bright amber color with obvious wall-hanging property.  25% higher than the national standard, featuring stronger umami, rich soy sauce aroma, mellow taste, moderate saltiness and umami with a sweet aftertaste.
