Shepherd's purse sounds like some kind of hip accessory. It's actually a really cool flowering plant, part of the mustard family. Often used in Shanghai cuisine, it's also prized as herbal medicine--even in the west. With its strong flavor, you can find this tasty green in dumplings and potstickers. Don't wait. That shepherd's purse wonton soup isn't going to make itself.
