Sanko Sangyo's "Kodaashi Katsuo 8.8g x 50 resealable bags, 440g" are Japanese-style dashi tea bags made with carefully selected domestic ingredients, including dried bonito flakes (honkarebushi) and arabushi bonito flakes (arabushi), Kumamoto round herring, dried mackerel flakes (yakizu), Miyazaki Koshin shiitake mushrooms, and Hokkaido Rishiri kelp. The convenient resealable bags allow you to easily create authentic dashi by simply adding it to a pot and boiling. It can be used in a wide variety of dishes, including miso soup, simmered dishes, udon noodles, oden, and takikomi gohan (seasoned rice). You can also tear open the bag and sprinkle it directly onto your dashi powder. Its rich, umami-infused flavor enhances everyday dishes, making it a popular all-purpose dashi.
