Ozeki Taru Futsu is a traditional expression from Ozeki, a historic Japanese producer based in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. Its defining character comes from storage in traditional Yoshino cedar barrels, a method historically used in Japan before stainless-steel vessels became common. This cedar-aged style preserves a connection to Japanese ceremonial and celebratory traditions, when taru expressions were associated with weddings and special occasions featuring the traditional breaking of a cask.
