A rare domestic chili pepper, a pride of Karatsu, Saga. Crafted from cultivation to grinding, these "chili peppers" offer more than just spiciness: they're a "tasty treat." 

This chili pepper series is from Clavel Japan, a company based in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, that cultivates and processes domestic chili peppers. 
Using the domestic "Hot Parasol" chili pepper variety, said to be about three times spicier than Eagle's Taro, the harvesting time, drying temperature, and grinding coarseness have all been carefully designed. 
We offer three unique varieties, each carefully selected for their aroma and flavor, in addition to their spiciness. They are perfect for a wide range of dishes, from Japanese to Western and Chinese. 

Akajishi
A pure red chili pepper characterized by its fiery red spiciness and aroma. Perfect as a secret ingredient or a main ingredient in any dish.
