Taiwan Assam Black Tea 200 g

Our Taiwanese Assam Black Tea comes from the lush mountains of Nantou, Taiwan, where the unique climate and rich soil give this tea its exceptional character. Originally a classic variety from India, the Assam cultivar has adapted beautifully to Taiwan’s environment. Grown at higher elevations with plenty of sunlight and a wide day-night temperature difference, the leaves develop a rich, layered flavor profile that sets it apart from other black teas.

The dry leaves are tightly twisted and dark with a glossy sheen. Once brewed, the liquor reveals a deep amber-red color that is both bright and inviting. The aroma carries natural notes of malt sweetness and a subtle hint of honey. On the palate, the tea is full-bodied yet smooth, with no bitterness or astringency. It finishes with a lingering, pleasant sweetness that keeps you coming back for more.

Compared to traditional Indian Assam, the Taiwanese version is gentler and more refined. It’s less sharp, offering instead a mellow and naturally sweet experience. This tea is versatile—enjoy it hot or cold, plain or with a splash of milk. It also makes a wonderful base for a rich, creamy Taiwanese milk tea.

This tea is perfect for black tea lovers seeking a bold yet balanced flavor, and it reflects both the heritage of Assam and the elegance of Taiwan’s tea craftsmanship. Whether for personal enjoyment or as a thoughtful gift, our Taiwanese Assam Black Tea is a delicious and memorable choice.
