The tencha, the raw material for matcha, is made by covering the new shoots that sprout around April to block direct sunlight, allowing it to slowly accumulate flavor and the unique aroma of matcha in soft light. 
By slowly grinding this tencha using a traditional stone mill, a vibrant dark green color, fine foam, a refined aroma, and a deep, rich flavor are created. 
This precious Uji matcha, which is produced with meticulous care and attention to detail, yielding only about 30g per hour using a stone mill, is delivered in a highly shelf-stable 30g can.
