Korean Persimmon Honey Cookie (Yakgwa) KING SIZE 50g x 10 Cookies

- Explore a taste of Korean history by enjoying the traditional Korean Persimmon Honey Cookie (King Size) from Sangju!

- Made from all-natural, high-quality persimmon, honey, and domestic wheat flour, this richly textured Korean treat is dense with layered sweetness and delicious flavors that will leave you satisfied yet craving for more.

- Sangju’s Korean Honey Persimmon Cookie is the ideal Yakgwa (Traditional Korean honey cookies). Originally considered a luxurious, high-quality treat, Yakgwa has long been a part of Korean history as an essential food for passage rites, marriages, holidays, feasts, and celebrations such as the harvest festival (chuseok).

- Because persimmon trees require a good climate and soil, Sangju sources specialized persimmons grown in the rich soils and clean air of the Northern Korean peninsula. Sangju persimmon has a delicious, naturally high sugar content and is significantly rich in Vitamins A and C.

- Upon reaching optimal ripeness, the raw persimmons are harvested, peeled, and dried to achieve the ideal chewy texture and natural sweetness for perfect yakgwa.

- The persimmons are then ground with wheat flour and mixed with honey, sesame oil, honey, and sake before being fried into a delicious, sweet, flavor-packed honey cookie.

- Free of any pesticides, preservatives, colorants, or trans fat, it’s the perfect healthy Korean treat. In fact, the name “yakgwa” translates into medicine (yak) confection (gwa) or medicinal sweet treat!
