GOOD MARKET KYUSHU Yame Gyokuro Tea Bags 1 each
Description
Yame Gyokuro Tea Bags — crafted by the rare Hoiro-shiki method, a traditional hand-finishing technique preserved for over 400 years since Japan's Edo period (1603–1868). Each sip delivers a full, round sweetness and a warm, toasty aroma that only this ancient craft can produce.
These gyokuro tea bags are crafted using the now extremely rare traditional "hoiro-shiki" method by Konomi Honke, a long-established tea merchant in Yame, Fukuoka.
This method, which involves slowly roasting the tea using only the heat of charcoal and natural air, gives the tea leaves a fragrant, elegant aroma known as "hoiro-ka." This luxurious cup combines the mellow sweetness and umami of gyokuro grown under cover cultivation with the deep aroma unique to the hoiro-shiki method.
You can easily enjoy authentic gyokuro tea without a teapot, as long as you have hot water. We recommend steeping for about 3 minutes in water cooled to 50-60°C, squeezing out every last drop.
