Pharmacist Notes
Should low-dose aspirin be taken daily by average healthy people? No. Whether long-term use for heart-related purposes is right for you must be assessed by a doctor based on your medical history and bleeding risk. Do not take it regularly without a doctor’s order.
Does enteric coating prevent stomach bleeding? No. Enteric coating only changes the release site and onset time. It does NOT eliminate the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding caused by aspirin.
