2019 Xinhui Aged Tangerine Peel 2 oz
Description
Core Origin: Tianma Village in Xinhui is one of the core iconic production areas for Xinhui Mandarin Peel. The quality of its ring-grafted (quanzhi) or branch-grafted citrus peels is widely recognized in the market.
Age Profile: Harvested in 2019, this peel has aged for approximately 7 years as of 2026. It is currently in an optimal transition phase from "young peel" to "aged Chenpi."
Dahongpi (Red Peel) Characteristics: Harvested from fully ripe citrus, Dahongpi has a higher sugar content, thicker skin, and soft texture. Once aged, it yields a rich fragrance, a pleasant sweet aftertaste, and a warm nature—making it ideal for brewing tea, simmering, making soup, or cooking.
Smooth & Mellow Taste: When brewed, the liquor turns a clear, translucent amber color. It blends aged, woody, and subtle honey aromas, delivering a sweet, smooth taste with virtually no bitterness or harshness.
Wellness Benefits: Traditional Chinese Medicine values it for regulating Qi, strengthening the spleen, drying dampness, resolving phlegm, harmonizing the stomach, and moistening the lungs. It is well-suited for daily tea drinking, as well as for individuals with Qi deficiency or digestive discomfort.
