For me, this was just an average Suzhou-style pastry. It was a bit too sweet. But it was alright with tea.
It's alright, not too sweet, and the crust is the kind I like.
The skin was very dry, but the red bean paste inside was okay.
The taste is good, not too sweet, and the Suzhou-style outer layer isn't oily. I'd probably repurchase it. The packaging is really too basic. Once opened, it's impossible to finish it in one meal; I have to repackage it in another box, otherwise I'm afraid it will attract ants and bugs. It would be better if the larger package contained individual portions.
