It smells rancid. I'm a huge fan of Yugwa, but the stale smell is so disgusting I can't eat it. I bought it because the reviews said it was chewy, but the texture is just crumbly. And it's way too sweet. I bought two packs, and it looks like I'll have to throw them both away.
I bought this because I heard it was delicious, and it really is. It isn't soggy, and the individual packaging is great.
It's delicious, crispy, and sweet.
It’s so delicious! Thank you so much!
Ah~~ It reminded me of the Yugwa I used to eat in Korea, so I had some grilled~ It's super sweet and delicious!
These individually packed snacks bring me back to my childhood memories.
I like these! They’re such a unique type of texture and sensation the moment you take your first bite. It is a light airy rice cracker with a hint of mochi chewiness. I can’t tell the difference in flavor between the three colors, but all three are delicious!
Arrived in great condition. Will order again.
I ordered it because I wanted to show my foreign friends a taste.
It doesn't have a strong taste and is moderately sweet, so it's delicious and I'm planning to buy it again.

What is yugwa?
Yugwa is a traditional Korean snack made from glutinous rice dough that is fried until it puffs and then coated with syrup and a crunchy coating such as grains or seeds. It is a type of hangwa, or Korean traditional confectionery.
What is the difference between yugwa and yakgwa?
Yugwa is a puffed, crisp glutinous rice confection, while yakgwa is a dense, chewy wheat flour cookie flavored with honey and ginger. Both are Korean hangwa sweets, but they have very different textures.
How should I store yugwa?
Store Yugwa in an airtight container at room temperature, away from humidity and heat, since moisture makes it lose crispness. Follow the best-by date on the package.
Is yugwa gluten free?
Yugwa is traditionally made with glutinous rice, which is not wheat, but ingredients and processing vary by brand. Check the ingredient and allergen statement on the package of the exact Yugwa you buy.
What does yugwa taste like?
Yugwa tastes lightly sweet and nutty with a very crisp, airy bite that melts quickly in the mouth. The flavor depends on the coating, such as bean or mugwort.
When is yugwa eaten in Korea?
Yugwa is traditionally served during holidays such as Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok, at weddings and at ancestral rites. It is also given as a gift and enjoyed with tea.
