Delicious sun cakes, buy them when they're on sale and I'll definitely buy them again.
This was my first time buying it. I immediately opened the package and ate a piece. It was okay, except the crust on the side was a bit hard.
There are 12 pieces in a box. The pastry has many layers and is prone to crumbling, so you should eat it on a plate to avoid making a mess. Pairing it with a cup of coffee or tea will keep it from getting dry and bring back the taste from my memories.
The sun cakes are quite delicious, with a similar texture to those in China.

Packaging is amazing; the box is stunning. Besides that, they're all individually wrapped, so it's perfect for grabbing one on the go.
Taiyangtang's sun cakes are truly authentic! The outer crust is so flaky it crumbles, and the brown sugar filling is incredibly fragrant, with a perfectly balanced sweetness that doesn't stick to your teeth. A box of 12 is beautifully packaged, and paired with a cup of hot tea, it makes for the perfect afternoon tea.
I first discovered this sun cake at 99 Ranch Market. This time, when I bought it again, I found that the price at Weee was cheaper. The brown sugar one is the best and also the one that best soothes my homesickness.
I really love these Taichung sun cakes, especially the brown sugar one; I've bought it many times, and it tastes fantastic.
Compared to the original flavor, the brown sugar flavor is more unique. I've repurchased it several times.

Baked at a low temperature for two minutes, the crust is thin and crispy, while the filling is soft and sweet—very delicious. There are only five small pieces; I placed an AirPods next to them as a scale. They're quite expensive, so I won't repurchase them for now. I'll try other brands later.

I love eating the bamboo shoots in bamboo shoot beans the most. I have bought them before, but I always thought there were only beans but no bamboo shoots. This time I gave it another chance, and it really has improved - the bamboo shoot part has increased a little bit!

This is basically a tiny sponge cake sandwiched with mostly purple yam and creme. Other than tasting the sugar, creme and a little bit of yam there isn't much flavor to it. It's too pricy for what you'll get. I will not buy it again.
The sponge like bread was fresh and good, the taro and cheese filling wasn’t fabulous- tasted bland. The dessert was light and very Japanese tasting but it didn’t taste great, perhaps it’s an acquired taste.
