this is so good in a hot day
Although it's a bit pricey, I like to drink it. Both adults and children like it. It's just a bit sweet. I don't know if it's as sweet as the one in China, or if the sweetness has been increased for the American market.
I tried both brands of Wanglaoji, and the Jiaduobao one seemed slightly less sweet. I guess the export version has increased the sweetness; Chinese consumers generally prefer less sweetness.

I didn't add the water as instructed, only 350 grams, and simmered it over low heat to make winter melon syrup. It yielded about 14 ounces. When needed, I add water to make winter melon tea, and add milk and tapioca pearls for delicious winter melon milk tea. This method is convenient, easy to store, and avoids using up too much at once or drinking too much sweetness.
