I bought it for the first time. It expands the range of dishes I can make.
Love that Weee has restocked shio kombu! It’s basically kelp strips seasoned with soy sauce, mirin, sugar then dried which gives it the salty, chewy texture. It’s a must in our pantry - for asazuke/smashed cucumber salad perfect for summer… quick onigiri, soy cured eggs, uni pasta… just really versatile. It adds extra umami punch and depth in any dish, even in soups, without overwhelming saltiness. It’s a small bag but you only need bit of sprigs to enhance a dish. Made uni/shio kombu pasta and it was a hit! Delicious!
It's been a big hit when I make rice balls with it, so I keep buying it again.
I love this shiokonbu so much. Why isn't there any more?
It's easy to use, so I keep buying it again.
The portion size is a bit small, but it's good for making cold cucumber salad.
