Top 2 products for Shinmei Miyagi Hitomebore Rice 11 Lb

This is a type of rice I loved when I lived in Japan. It's sweet, soft, and chewy, surpassing all American rice.
I was able to get my hands on some Hitomebore rice, a new harvest from my hometown of Miyagi Prefecture, in America! I cooked it in an earthenware pot over charcoal for a barbecue, and the grains stood up sparklingly – it was absolutely delicious.
I purchased this on August 13, 2026. The rice I received was milled on November 26, 2025, meaning it had already been milled about eight months prior to purchase. I understand that Japanese rice sold overseas takes time to circulate, but since this product was labeled "new rice" and cost $34.99 for 5kg, I expected a more recent milling date. I contacted customer service, but they replied that "it's stored in a quality-controlled environment, so there's no problem," and I couldn't return it. I think it would be much more reassuring if the milling date was available before purchase.
It was new rice. There were very few broken grains, and the rice was beautiful.
It's sticky, sweet, and very delicious.
New rice. I was able to buy it cheaper than at the Japanese supermarket. If it's delicious, I'll buy it again at Weee.
I tried a different brand than usual. It's flavorful and delicious.
Japanese rice is delicious. I buy this product occasionally.
This is the third bag of this brand of rice; it is sushi quality rice. Love it. Honestly, I wanted to try other brand but was not sure they are new crop or rest of the last season’s. That is why I got the same one again. Does anyone let me know if all others are new crop or not?
The rice arrived on June 24th, and the milling date was November 26th of last year. It was milled exactly seven months ago. Rice is heavy, so I appreciate the delivery service. I like this rice, but I'm still trying other types to see the differences in grain size, taste, and texture, and to figure out what type of rice I prefer.

I'm grateful that the price has dropped a little.
This is my first time buying this rice, so I don't know yet if it tastes good. If it does, I'll buy it again.
I bought it for the first time. It's a little more expensive than the rice I usually buy, so I'm looking forward to trying it.
I always prefer Japanese white rice I eat it every day, so I'm particular about the taste
I've been wanting to try it and have been eagerly waiting for it to go on sale!
I used to buy rice sold in America to save money, but Japanese rice is definitely tastier, and it tastes good even when it's cold
Very good taste. Soft and mild. I loved it.
The rice arrived in a cardboard box! Until now, it was delivered in bags, which was inconvenient, but this is a fantastic improvement and I'm very happy with it.
It has a lighter, more fluffy texture than a chewy one. Apparently, it retains moisture well and is suitable for rice balls and other similar dishes. It's tastier than the Nishiki rice I bought before. I'm grateful to be able to buy Japanese-grown rice.
I bought this rice because the rice I usually buy wasn't available.
