This was my first time trying the chicken ham with mung beans, and it was so rich and flavorful, I liked it more than the other kind.
Our household usually buys the Harim brand but tried this one for the first time because it said mung beans. Pic shows what 2 packages in a large pot looks like straight from the package. Package says keep at room temp not frozen like Harim brand. Smelled great. Tastes good too. Bones fall right out. We couldn’t really see or taste any mung beans but maybe it was cooked down with the rice inside.

Although I feel this ginseng chicken soup is more suitable for winter, sometimes my stomach just wants me to quickly cook a packet of scallions and eat them, haha.

It's delicious! The chickens sold here are usually too big, so they get dry when made into samgyetang, but since this one uses a small chicken, it stays moist. I think it would be even better if you added some glutinous rice or scorched rice to the leftover broth and boiled it again.

I saw that Harim's Nurungji Samgyetang was newly released, so I bought it to add to the broth and enhance the flavor. The broth taste has been upgraded to be much deeper, so it tastes much better if you heat it up with even frozen Samgyetang.

I bought it right away since it was a new product, and this Nurungji Samgyetang is even more savory and delicious than the original. I added extra ingredients for the samgyetang broth, and just in case there wasn't enough scorched rice, I covered it with some I had at home and simmered the broth longer. After it was all cooked, I cut it open and wow~ it was packed with scorched rice. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely repurchase it if it goes on sale again- The chicken is substantial lol.
