these been around since before I was a kid. my mom use to eat this after drinking the black medicine soup. I eat it just as it is. it's Xi muoi but the very fresh version, it's chewy and moist with a seed pit in the middle. it's not dry and salty, is moist chewy and a little mix of sweet and salt, like a plum version of twizzlers. yum.

My mom (Taiwanese) said putting this in small tomatoes and allowing them to saturate was something her aunt did when she was little. The flavor was on point. She literally had happy tears as she told me the taste took her back to when she was little
