I ordered Hawaiian purple sweet potatoes from Weee , they were super fresh and the price was great at $3.99
There were about 11 of them. I peeled them, sliced them into rounds, and steamed them in a pan over low heat for 10 minutes with a little water and a pinch of salt. They were sweet and delicious even eaten plain I sprinkled a little coconut sugar and kinako (roasted soybean flour) on top. I'm so happy I can enjoy this taste while in America

I was very excited to cook and enjoy these potatoes. Upon steaming two on a steamer , I was very disappointed to find out that it wasn’t really purple sweet potatoes. (I did not boil them in water, I streamed them). The meat of the potatoes were more they than purple. They were definitely sweet potatoes ( they were sweet), but not purple potatoes. I don’t think that I will purchase this particular variety of sweet potatoes again.
