Yes it has the color of bagoong but since it's not shrimp do not expect you will get the taste of bagoong. Will not buy again.

Never knew that bagoong can be healthy too
if youre allergic to shrimps or vegan, this is a good option. if theres a non sweet or spicy version i would get it for binagoongan. but it will work just fine. i just need singkamas or indian mango and its perfect
Pleasant surprise. While it is advertised as Mushroom Bagoong Sweet Sautéed Shrimp paste, label says it is plant based , without any shrimp listed under ingredients. Tastes similar to shrimp paste , less salty version.
