- Hi-Chew Review Hi-Chew is one of the most famous Japanese candies because of its unique texture and intense fruit flavors. Flavor and Texture Super juicy and with a strong fruit flavor. The texture is chewy, like a cross between bubblegum and caramel. They don't harden quickly. There are delicious flavors like strawberry, mango, grape, and kiwi.

- It's a berry mix, but for some reason it contains black cherry. Like other Hi-Chews, the three flavors are not evenly distributed. I think this is because they are mechanically packed in bags based on weight, not by flavor, at the factory. I remember seeing the factory on TV when I was in Japan a long time ago. I thought black cherry would be the tastiest, but when I actually tried it, I liked the raspberry flavor the best. Overall, it has a very American taste.
