It was delicious. The shrimp heads were cut off and used to make soup with the vermicelli, which made the broth very flavorful. The shrimp meat was also delicious and not mushy. It seems that you need to rinse it with water to thaw it; thawing it in the refrigerator will make the shrimp mushy, according to AI. Most of them were quite large, and among a dozen or so, only 1-2 were slightly smaller, but still quite big.

The shrimp themselves were beautiful and tasty. But they 100% were NOT headless. Which means about ⅓ of the 4lbs were heads. Not useless, but not…4lbs of headless shrimp. Unfortunate surprise.

I used to buy only white shrimp, but I switched to these and the texture is great and they taste even better. I use them in gambas and pasta, and they put restaurant shrimp to shame.
