I don't know why it tastes a bit like mixed nuts filling. I don't like mixed nuts to begin with, and I can't get used to it.
The rose filling was very sweet and fragrant, and the pastry was also very flaky.
very delicious
The crust of this Suzhou-style mooncake from Daoxiangcun was a little hard, but the taste was okay.
It's flaky and nutty, so have a drink handy since it’s pretty dry. One bite and the whole thing might crumble. The hint of rose is interesting and worth a try.
I tried both the red bean paste and rose flavors. The fillings were great, but the crust was a bit dry and hard. It would taste better if I baked it in a small oven.
I've tried both, and this one is pretty good too.
The crust was hard, and the filling wasn't particularly sweet, but it was alright.
Traditional mooncakes, quite affordable.
a friend shared a rose mooncake with one two years ago. I'm not sure if it's the same style, but it's from the same brand. It doesn't quite taste like how I remembered, but it's not very sweet for mooncake. the filling is winter melon and different kinds of nuts and seeds. it's good with tea. I think it will make a good breakfast
