Last night, feeling a bit better, I asked my husband to prepare the meat filling for me. I took out the thin tofu skin from the buns, cut it in half, and wrapped it into tofu skin buns. The tofu skin was the perfect thickness, ideal for making "thousand-layer tofu buns," but: 1. You must first soak or boil it in hot water with a little baking powder. 2. Then, tear it by hand or taste it to see if the elasticity is just right. 3. Finally, rinse it with clean water and it's ready to wrap! It can be steamed, boiled (with fried tofu and vermicelli), or braised.
I ordered this to make seasoned dried tofu, but I think it would be good for a diet too. It's the best!
