Haven’t bought dried pre-sliced shiitake mushrooms before, but this was one of the better priced options for the amount. I’m assuming these will rehydrate faster than whole ones.
I love soaking these guys in hot broth to make it happen. They’re perfect as I want to eliminate both steps - storage and chopping. If you want to make it into smaller bits - break tinier when dry.

That sliced dried shiitake mushroom was good cut in size and they are well sliced and are perfect to make them into soups and the size of the bag is given enough inside this mushroom and that was a great thing that made .

I bought these because they said "Japan, Oita" on them. They were plump and delicious shiitake mushrooms after being rehydrated in water. I previously tried dried shiitake mushrooms from China, but they had a strong, distinctive smell and tasted awful, so I only buy Japanese ones now.

It swells up quickly when soaked in water. There are no rotten parts, and soaking just one is big enough for one person to eat.
The volume increases more than expected when soaked. I added it to mala tang. It's delicious.
