I blanched the pepper leaves and spinach together and it was delicious when I mixed them together and ate them.
I'm so happy to have the chili leaves I used to enjoy in Korea that I've already reordered them for the third time. I trimmed them, blanched them, and mixed them with a side dish. They were milder than the ones in Korea, but they were fresh and delicious enough to make up for the lack of flavor.
Thought I’d never find fresh chili leaves here but boy oh boy. They are fresher than any I know
It’s still good after boiling it for a long time!
Received the chili leaves but they were old and the leaves were dried out

The chili peppers aren't very spicy, have thin skins, and cook quickly. They're perfect for stir-frying with shredded pork; the aroma of chili peppers and pork makes for a very appetizing dish.
It feels very worthwhile; it's much cheaper than Whole Foods.

Frequently asked questions
What is dahon ng sili?
Dahon ng sili is Filipino for chili pepper leaves, the young leaves and shoots of the chili plant. They are cooked as a leafy green and are mild, with a slightly peppery, green taste.
How do you cook dahon ng sili?
Add dahon ng sili at the end of cooking, in the last minute or two, to soups such as chicken tinola so the leaves wilt but stay green. Rinse fresh leaves first, and thaw frozen ones as the package directs.
What can I substitute for dahon ng sili?
Malunggay (moringa) leaves are the most common Filipino substitute in tinola. Spinach or Weee!'s Phil Supreme Dahon ng Ampalaya (Bittermelon Leaves) also work, with a slightly different taste.
How should I store dahon ng sili?
Keep fresh chili leaves wrapped in paper towel in a bag in the refrigerator and use within a few days. Keep frozen packs, like Angelina Pepper Leaves, in the freezer and follow the package directions.
Are dahon ng sili spicy?
No, dahon ng sili are generally not hot like the chili fruit. They add a mild, slightly peppery, leafy flavor to soups.
What dishes use dahon ng sili?
Dahon ng sili is best known in chicken tinola and fish tinola, and is also added to ginisang monggo and other Filipino soups and stews.
Are frozen chili leaves as good as fresh?
Frozen dahon ng sili, such as Tropics Chili Pepper Leaves, are convenient and work well in soups. Fresh leaves keep a firmer texture, while frozen leaves are softer.
Where can I buy dahon ng sili near me?
You can order dahon ng sili online at Weee!, including Angelina Pepper Leaves (Dahon ng Sili) and Tropics Chili Pepper Leaves. Weee! delivers Asian and Hispanic groceries to your door in many U.S. areas; enter your ZIP code at weee.com to see availability and delivery options.

Horseradish leaves or malunggay is the best alternative for chili leaves when cooking Tinolsng manok. I paired it with green papaya. The malunggay though frozen but when cooked taste fresh. The best thing when shopping online at Weee, the frozen items are still frozen when delivered to my doorsteps. I’m thinking they will be thawed while on transit to my house but ithey never did! They packed the frozen items nicely and with ice!
Frozen malunggay, now I can cook bulanglang with all ingredients on it (eggplant, Calabasas, okra, green papaya, and this.)
