I bought the one on the right, which is very close to the authentic taste. I tried the Little Bear on Weee and the one from Vietnam, but in the end, I had no choice but to choose the one from Jiangmen. I have to say that the latter three are not authentic, which is a bit disappointing! Also, there is too much powder, so it clumps up very easily!

As a first time buyer and tryer of grass jelly, It really was not that bad. By itself the jelly has no flavor but there is also a light bitterness to it but when I paired it with sweet and condensed milk? The flavor was absolutely delicious.

I bought grass jelly powder first. I poured one packet of powder into a stainless steel pot, added 600 ml of water and mixed it well. Then I turned on the heat and brought it to a boil, stirring constantly, especially when I saw bubbles. After boiling, I poured it into a glass container. The best way to cool it is to refrigerate it before cutting it into your favorite shapes. This time I ate it with the taro dumplings that Weee bought. It was so refreshing that I didn't have time to take a picture.
I made half a batch, intending to eat it with mung bean paste, but it was very different from what I imagined. It had a texture closer to jelly. Boxed herbal jelly tastes better than this.
