It's good to add when cooking. However, it spoils quickly, so you have to eat it as soon as possible after receiving it.

I buy a bottle when it's on sale, then have it ground into small pieces, sealed with oil, and it's the same as the ones sold in stores. Grinding it myself makes it fresher.

I use them for stir-fries, soups, roasting, salads, and even as a snack with dips. A larger bag is especially useful if you cook at home frequently.

I like keeping mixed fish balls in the freezer because they’re easy to use whenever I make hot pot or noodle soup. Having different types in one bag also makes the meal a little more interesting.
