I made Nanbanzuke (marinated fried chicken). It was delicious!

I always buy it, freeze it, and stock up on it.

The broken mushrooms looked like they'd been sitting for a while; the caps were wide open, but the bottoms were a bit dry and shriveled. I quickly put them in the freezer.

I'm so happy I was able to buy so many lotus roots cheaply because they were on sale. My daughter loves lotus root chips, so I'm going to make some.

This is the first time I've bought these square fried tofu puffs from Weee. When I opened them last night, I felt they were too thin! And they weren't cheap either? I remember buying thicker slices once; they were quite solid and wouldn't fall apart when cut. I only chose this one because it's easy to dice, but I won't buy it again!
