This shrimp paste is already mixed, so if you need it ready to use, buy this type. The taste is quite good. It's slightly sweet and thick. You should adjust the seasoning to your taste if you prefer a rich and balanced flavor. However, if you want to buy shrimp paste to make stir-fried pork belly with shrimp paste, you should buy the unmixed kind.
